Background

In today’s rapidly evolving world, digital transformation plays a key role in reshaping how industries operate and how people live. It enhances efficiency, drives innovation, and improves quality of life across sectors. However, beyond technological progress, it is essential to ensure that technology remains human-centered, supporting sustainable and inclusive growth.

To respond to this need, the Technology Innovation & Entrepreneurship Unit (INTENS) of Politeknik Indonusa Surakarta proudly presents the International Webinar on Technology Innovation, part of the 5th International Innovation Technology Expo 2025, under the theme:

“Empowering Ideas Through Innovation: Shaping the Future with Technology and Sustainable Development.”

This webinar gathers students, lecturers, researchers, and practitioners to explore innovation across multidisciplinary fields:

  • Health, Pharmacy, and Laboratory Science
  • Tourism, Hospitality, and Culinary Arts
  • Green Engineering and Smart Infrastructure
  • Information and Communication Technology (ICT)
  • Entrepreneurship in Business, Media, Education, and Creative Industries

The event aims to foster innovative ideas that contribute to both technological advancement and sustainable community development.

Requirements
  1. Participants must be active students from Senior High Schools, either from Indonesia or abroad.
  2. Each team must consist of 3–4 students and 1 supervisor for each innovation product (a maximum of 5 names listed per team).
  3. All participants are required to follow the Instagram accounts of Politeknik Indonusa Surakarta and IITE, namely @poltek_indonusa and @iite_indonusa.
  4. Each team must register with the committee by paying a registration fee of IDR 100,000 for domestic participants or USD 12 for international participants.
  5. The registration fee applies to one innovation product title.
  6. Participants are allowed to submit and register more than one type of innovation product.
  7. During the registration process, participants must upload proof of payment and proof of following the required Instagram accounts.
Registration
  1. Choose one of the available themes:
    • Pharmacy, Health, Medicine, and Humanistic Therapy
    • Information, Communication, and Technology (ICT)
    • Entrepreneurship
  2. Complete the competition payment.
  3. Confirm the payment and complete the registration process.
  4. The payment and registration links can be accessed through the IITE 2025 website at https://expo.poltekindonusa.ac.id/.
Selection & Assessment

For the Innovation Product Competition, selection is carried out in 2 stages:

Step 1

Selection of innovative product videos that have been uploaded by competition participants. Video selection is carried out by the assessment team based on creativity, innovation, and suitability of innovative products with the theme

Step 2

Participants who pass the selection in stage 1, will proceed to stage 2, namely the presentation stage of the innovation product to see how the work is done. Finalists are required to make presentation slides in PPT form. The presentation will be held via video conference (maximum 5 minutes) followed by a question-and-answer session with the jury for 5 minutes. The total duration of online judging is 10 minutes.

ASSESSMENT

Assessment criteria cover theme coherence, innovation level, originality, and aesthetic aspects

Assessment Point:

  • Innovation Product Video: 20%
  • Innovation Level: 40%
  • Product Excellence: 30%
  • Presentation: 10%

What is “International Innovation Technology Proceeding Poster”?

International Innovation Technology Proceeding Poster is an international event where high schools and colleges can showcase their research. This event is part of the 5th International Innovation Technology Expo 2025 and aims to provide a platform for participants to promote their research to the wider society. Join us in this event to advance your research and expand your network.

Participants can join as individuals or teams of 2 - 5 people
The content of the poster should be based on research
Each participant (individual/team) may only submit one poster design

Registration

Participant research poster competitions can be registered at https://expo.poltekindonusa.ac.id/. The fee for other college participants is Rp. 100.000, and student participant is Rp. 50.000. Fee payment to BNI 0721089048 (Vania Santika Putri).

Poster Submission Format
  1. Poster must be submitted in soft file format, A4 Portrait Orientation (21cm x 29.7cm).
  2. The poster should consist of the following components:
    • Introduction
    • Method
    • Results
    • Conclusion
  3. Poster must include:
    • Title
    • Committee logo
    • Author's university logo
    • Background/Introduction/Abstract
    • Method
    • Results (text and images/photographs/schemes)
    • Conclusion
    • References (optional)
    • Contact details (email)
    The background should be concise and directly related to the topic (Objectives - Methods - Findings - Conclusions and Suggestions).
  4. Committee logo can be downloaded via a link provided by the organizer.
  5. The poster must be readable and clearly presented.
  6. Use line spacing of approximately 1.2.
  7. Use sub-headings that are larger than the body text (bold or underlined is allowed).
  8. Use no more than two different typefaces/fonts.
  9. Avoid using all capital letters.
  10. Margins should match the column layout.
  11. Poster layout should consider formal-informal balance principles such as symmetry-asymmetry, unity of image arrangement, appropriate color and background use, and visual flow guidance for readers.
  12. Emphasize hierarchy and contrast to highlight important elements.
  13. The content must be readable and structured for easy navigation.
  14. The poster must be created using computer software (use of graphs, tables, and photographic documentation is highly recommended).
  15. Save the document in PDF format, with clear resolution and maximum size of 5 MB (not blurry).
  16. Posters will be presented online on July 31, 2025.
