Now, we will explain about problem are faced by tourism esspecially in Indonesia. By the increasing number of tourist trips, information about tourism destinations is needed. For now, there is no creative media or we can say out of the box idea to promote Indonesian tourism. Today, we are in 4.0 era. This means, everyone is already using digital media. So, we make a creative breakthrough, namely android base application to promote tourist areas. It is not only limited to profiles of tourist attractions but also provides information about nearest restaurants, closest hotels, and other nearby tourist destination. Therefore, we aspire to a product related to tourism promotion, namely WISATA Apps


Application Description

WISATA Apps is an android application that uses Augmented Reality (AR) technology. Augmented Reality itself, is used to create new environment by combining the interactivity of real and virtual, so that users can feel the realness of environment.


What’s the roles of AR 

AR is used to accommodate all information about objects and the tourism environment around us, which is then displayed on the real world layer in real time. 


What Does Need to Bring

WISATA Apps requires an object called a marker to display a visual image of the tourist attraction. The marker itself is a brochure in JPG or PNG format. In this application, there are several marker brochures for each different tourist spot. Now, I will show you how to use WISATA Apps
Here’s the step by step:
1. First, choose one of the destinations.
2. After the marker is Detected, this is the Process of Displaying 2D Tourist Resorts 


Show A Maps

This application is also show a maps of attractions, which shows the nearest destination.

 

Real Simulation

1. Open the application.

2. Then, we try to scan image marker from Instagram.

3. After its detected, the information of the destination will appear.


Benefit

As described above, the use of Wisata Apps for tourism promotion strategies can be a new breakthrough to help increase regional tourism potential, because it is unique and innovative, which can make conventional media more attractive. With AR Markers, they can bring up more interesting and dynamic information. 
if there is a change of information, you only need to change the data section and no need to reprint the brochure.


Questionnaire

We have tested by giving questionnaires to users to evaluate the use of the application. From 10 visitors and 3 citizens, 6 people choosing Very Good, 7 people choosing Good, and 0 choosing Not Good. It means that, based on the question, "Easy to Use Application" is included in AGREE category.


Conclusion

Application tourism is an innovative breakthrough to add value to promotional media such as brochures, pamphlets, billboards, and paper based or digital based promotional media. A very easy way of working, only by scanning the existing markers, tourist objects will appear. With this, tourism promotion media in Indonesia will be out of the box and have value.
